The old river sentinel still stands proud holding its place by the river as it has since time immemorial while a heifer (cow) takes refuge in its shade from the hot afternoon sun and chews its cud. Time seems to have no meaning or significance here as I become absorbed into the scene before me and my painting takes on an air of timeless. Location was at the Condamine River in central Queensland on Australia's East Coast.
