The iconic and historic Brekky Creek Pub (on Breakfast Creek in Brisbane, Queensland on Australia's East Coast) glows in the early morning light as it stands majestically above the waters of the Breakfast Creek which it has done for more than 100 years. I was fascinated by the reflections across the water and how it was framed against the sky with its decorative fret work and iron roof. The bridge seems to point my eye inward toward the pub which adds to the drama evoked by this spectacular scene. Irresistible to an artist like myself. Painting of the Breakfast Creek Hotel.
